3D Social Media Logos Pack

We were recently commissioned by a client to produce a set of logos to put at the of promo’s so that viewers can click on the link to follow the client on social media platforms.

We used Cinema 4D and After Effects to create the logos. Cinema 4D is, in our opinion one of the most intuitive and cool programs on the market, it is so easy to use and the possibilities are endless! We created these shiny revolving 3D logos for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Vimeo, Youtube, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and Bebo.

We made the logos in full HD and with an alpha channel which quite simply means that the logos can be put over the top of any background for any purpose.

Here is a video what we made to show what the Social Media Logos Pack contained.

Digital Humanities at Edinburgh University

Here are some videos that we produced for the guys at the Digital Humanities department at the  University of Edinburgh.

This is the second seminar that we have filmed for them at the Pollock Halls overlooking Arthurs seat and Salisbury Crag.

We filmed the guest speakers at the seminar with 2 cameras and in the process learnt a lot about the problems and solutions of the world of Digital Humanities!

The Speakers were as follows:

  • ‘The author’s drift: scholarship, scale and society’  Pip Willcox, The Bodleian Libraries.
  • ‘Co-Curate North East: some challenges around co-production and knowledge exchange.’
Eric Cross and Martyn Hudson, Newcastle Institute for Creative Arts Practice, Newcastle University.
  • ‘Poetics of the Archive: Community Engagement and Artistic Practice in the Literary Archive.’
    Ahren Warner, Newcastle University.
  • ‘Engaging the public in tagging and researching the UK’s paintings: two case studies.’  Andrew Greg, University of Glasgow.
  • ‘Engaging V&A Visitors with Game Design’  Sophia George, V&A Dundee.

Rock FM Academy

Here is a video that we were asked to produce for Rock FM to encourage teenagers to produce their own radio shows.

Rock FM are one of the many radio stations under Bauer Media and consequently it was important for us to create a nice piece of visual media for the media giants!

The initiative is a new scheme that encourages teens off the street and into the studio, given them a glimpse of how it works behind the scenes of a successful radio station. We were keen to  create a video that as well as showing the viewer the the aims of the scheme was also fresh and exciting to watch to recapture the energy of the young adults involved.

Here at Transmission Productions we love to be involved in community projects as well as working with the young people as they always bring an infectious energy to the table!

We hope you like it!

Martin Stepek Reading from his book

Here is an extract of a video that we made for Scottish Poet Martin Stepek.
In it he is reading from his latest book called ‘For There is Hope.

We acquired a room at Summerhall in Sciennes and  filmed all of the readings in stark black and white with a very shallow depth of field, giving the readings an intimate and haunting feel.
Here is what Martin had to say about our work:
My publisher hired Transmission for an exhibition on deportations of Poles to the Soviet Union. The film alternated interview clips and readings of my book about my father’s odyssey. The team were very professional, made the task of filming a pleasure. The video is superb, combining black & white and colour, dramatic close ups, distant shots. Very cleanly edited with clear introduction and ending. I am delighted with the work and recommend Transmission to anyone.

Transmission Company Promo

So we made this video a few months back to highlight the kind of work we do here at Transmission Productions. This video contains footage filmed at the last several years Fringe Festivals in Edinburgh where we have a great reputation filming shows with a number of cameras as well as featuring other more corporate work that we have produced in the last couple of years. We used After Effects to produced the highly stylised effects such as the logo changing etc. not only as a way of making a great video to frame our work but also  to highlight our skills in working with animation and computer generated content.
