Digital Humanities at Edinburgh University

Here are some videos that we produced for the guys at the Digital Humanities department at the  University of Edinburgh.

This is the second seminar that we have filmed for them at the Pollock Halls overlooking Arthurs seat and Salisbury Crag.

We filmed the guest speakers at the seminar with 2 cameras and in the process learnt a lot about the problems and solutions of the world of Digital Humanities!

The Speakers were as follows:

  • ‘The author’s drift: scholarship, scale and society’  Pip Willcox, The Bodleian Libraries.
  • ‘Co-Curate North East: some challenges around co-production and knowledge exchange.’
Eric Cross and Martyn Hudson, Newcastle Institute for Creative Arts Practice, Newcastle University.
  • ‘Poetics of the Archive: Community Engagement and Artistic Practice in the Literary Archive.’
    Ahren Warner, Newcastle University.
  • ‘Engaging the public in tagging and researching the UK’s paintings: two case studies.’  Andrew Greg, University of Glasgow.
  • ‘Engaging V&A Visitors with Game Design’  Sophia George, V&A Dundee.
